argue • persuade • advise

task two: Some teachers in England think that it would be better for pupils to write 'coursework' on the Shakespeare play they are studying to be assessed, rather than complete an examination. This is a policital decision taken by the government. Write a letter to your MP arguing that it would be fairier and better if you were allowed to write a long essay on Shakespeare (in your own time) rather than do an examination in May.

Remember to think about the arguments for the use of examinations, so that your case addresses these.
