Severn Trent Water
Water House
Wetminster
LONDON WEt PLace
Dear Mr Rush,
This summer, we are spending one hundred thousand pounds on renewing the mains water supply to Randwick. This will be of great benefit to you. You will find that the water supply will improve, with a greater rate of flow and increased reliability. Severn Trent is committed to providing the best for its customers.
Unfortunately, this work will cause some inconvenience. We are asking you to co-operate with us as we undertake this important job. For some short periods of time, between now and the end of August, some roads and footpaths will be closed, to enable our machinery to complete the task as quickly as possible. Our workers will help you at all times to make sure that your routines are disturbed as little as possible. Access to your houses will be maintained.
We regret that things in the village may get a little messy as a result of this important work. Once again, our workers will try to keep the streets as tidy as possible and reduce inconvenience to a minimum.
There may be some minor interruptions to the water supply during these improvements. We are afraid that this is inevitable, as we continue with the work. We shall try to inform you of any such action. It may be wise to keep a supply of fresh water in your home. Please help us to make sure that elderly residents or those needing special care are properly looked after.
Sometimes, after such work, we will ask you to wait a while before using the water. It may become discoloured in such cases.
Once again, may I, on behalf of Severn Trent, apologise for any inconvenience you may be caused in the coming weeks. If you have any concerns, please let me know immediately. Dont hesitate to get in touch.
When the work is completed, your water supply will be of the high standard we demand here at Severn Trent.
Yours sincerely,
Philip Sensible
