BRAZIL

POEMS by Year 9 Students

Brazil, why are you so mixed up?
One side is rich
And one side is poor.
You have the lushest rainforests
And the most fabulous animals.
You should make a Safari Park
And help the rich and the poor.

(Boris)

Trees more trees
Caatinga, Pantanal and Iguazu Falls.
All are involved with
Brazil.
Spacious lands and
Even compacted
Brazil is
Formed in many ways.
Tall buildings
Small buildings thin or fat.
Some people’s houses
Are scrap.
Lakes, dry lands
Cactus and
Grass.
Lots of green
Colours

(Sian)

Brazil is very hot
Rainforests emerge through rain
Andes are mountains strong and tall
Zoom through the country to get to the capital Brasilia
Incredible colour and personality
Live in Brazil!

(Josh)

Rainforests full of exotic plants,
Down in the city a bunch of old tramps,
Mudshacks there falling to bits,
Look at the people no smile on their lips,
What a dull life no money to spare,
Kids with no socks not even a pair.

Kids running round playing in the street,
When they sleep their dreams are so sweet,
Dream of a better place,
Where every person has a friendly face,
When they wake they’re back to true life,
Where they will grow and die old with their family and wife.
