Geography - A Subject for The Future
Choosing Geography as a GCSE Option

As a subject, geography is quite unique. It can be regarded as a science or as an arts subject, being offered as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA) if studied at Higher Education.

Today there is a widespread interest and concern about the earth. Geography is the subject to study your home planet and give an understanding of both physical and human interactions.

Geography is also multi-disciplinary, allowing students to improve those key skills required by universities and future employers. If studied at Advanced Level, Geography will also compliment all other subjects and allow students to apply for a vast range of future careers, ranging from medicine and civil engineering, to teaching, nursing, the Civil Service, anywhere where a knowledge of how the world works, ICT skills and data handling skills are required.
