St Peter's Geography Team

Mr Barnard loves geography because he is nosey and likes to find out about things in the world, such as cities, watching them grow and change over time. He has been at St Peter's for 4 years.

He went to university in Sheffield and did a degree in Urban Studies and Planning. His favourite topic was the architectural differences in cities such as Barcelona in Spain.

Mr Barnard's fave place in the UK is Manchester, especially the redeveloped centre. His best place in the world is New York because he says it has such a simple design yet it is so comlex in real life.

If you ask him what his favourite food is, he'll just answer "A lot"! but really it is curry.

He spends his spare time looking after his two children, watching and playing sport, especially cricket and skittles.

Mrs Dadge loves geography because it is all around us and you can see it every day. She's been at St Peter's for 20 years!

Mrs Dadge went to Birmingham university where her favourite topics were South America and population.

Her fave place in the UK is Weymouth and the Dorset Coast and her best place in the world is Cyprus. She goes on holiday there and just likes to chill out and enjoy the sun.

In her spare time Mrs Dadge spends most of it with her family who keep her busy as they do so many activities.

She'll tell you that her favourite food is Chinese.

Miss Leeder loved geography at school because she fancied her geography teacher! Then she found she liked the subject too. Miss Leeder likes finding out about different places and cultures. She's been at St Peter's for 4 years.

She went to university at Swansea and her fave topic was national identies and race relations.

Her favourite place in the UK is Ayreshire in Scotland (her Dad's a Scot) and her best place in the world is Australia - she likes it because it is hot, has loads of kangaroos and she wants to live there.

Her fave food is chicken but she admits she's a fussy eater and doesn't like many things.

In her spare time Miss Leeder is learning how to do ice skating - she has lessons every Saturday - oh and she loves reading which she does every night before going to bed.

Mr Mitchell says he loves geography because it is great! It's the world around us and you can go anywhere, walking or driving and geography is all around you. When he went on holiday with his children when they were young, they used to complain that their holidays were like geography lessons! he says he can even see physical geography in films and that since the planet is our home and everything revolves around that. He added that Geography Rules - OK? We rock!

He went to university in Hull and his favourite topic was plate tectonics and evolution. He has been at St Peter's for 21 years!

His fave place is Yorkshire because he said it's God's country, people are friendly, the beer is wonderful and the fish and chips are the best in the world. His best place in the world is a hot a sandy beach, anywhere! Folirda perhaps, or Tenerife.

Mr Mitchell loves eating steak and chips and in his spare time he likes watching Super League. He is also a keen ballroom dancer. Oh and he likes watching TV (especially Sci Fi)

Mrs Stott loves geography because it makes you think about different places and there are so many topics to think about, you can never be bored, glaciers one day, cities the next. She is fascinated by rivers and how natural forces have shaped the land. Her holidays are extended geography trips and she can't stop taking photos of geography in action. Mrs Stott has been at St Peter's for 7 years. Even though she travels quite a long way to get to school, she says it is worth every mile!

She went to Manchester University and her favourite topics were extreme environments (glaciers to deserts and rainforests) and historical geography - why settlements grew where they did.

Her favourite place in the UK is a secret beach hidden away on the South Wales coast, with towering limestone cliffs behind which are packed with fossils. Her best place in the world is South America. She has only been once, seen some of Brazil and a tiny bit of Argentina but would love to explore it more.

Mrs Stott's fave food is freshly baked bread, butter and a bit of jam. She also likes eating fresh vegetables like raw peas from a pod.

In her spare time Mrs Stott runs a lot. She competes in races up and down mountains (but admits that is hard), and 'off road' races with her running club. She also does a lot of orienteering with North Gloucester Orienteering Club, cycling, gardening and baking.

Mr Williams loves geography because he likes being outdoors and he finds it fascinating in that you can even look out of the window and see it. Oh and he had a good geography teacher at school. He has been at St Peter's for 4 years. He loves it.

He went to The University of Gloucestershire and his fave topic was rivers.

His favourite place in the UK is a place called Mwnt on the West Wales Coast and his best place in the world is France. He loves Italian food.

In his spare time Mr Williams likes playing golf, especially with Mr Chesson and Mr Kilty. He likes walking and DIY (which he is practising for when he gets married)
