"Geography is the subject which holds the key to our future"
   Michael Palin

I studied geography at Manchester University after being inspired by a teacher at secondary school. I am a qualified nurse and midwife and I have researched the geography of health and fitness both in England and in Northern Ireland.

I have taught ICT at an FE college at A level and I am keen to use IT to demonstrate the fascinating subject, geography. I have an MA in Education and I am the Literacy Coordinator for the school.

I loves studying geography outside and I spend my spare time either rowing up and down the River Wye or cycling up and down mountain ranges such as the Pyrenees, Alps, Picos Europa and Tatra Mountains. I am always on the lookout for photographs of physical and human geography, rivers, coasts, big cities or extinct volcanoes but not active ones!. I can then use these in the classroom to bring the outside world inside to the students.
