1st XV Rugby Team

The 1st XV Rugby Team at St Peters is very successful with a strong fixture -list. They compete at a national level against schools such as Colstons and Millfield. The 1st XV team competes in the annual St Joseph's Rugby Tournament, which places us amongst the top ten rugby schools in the British Isles. We also compete in the Daily Mail Cup every year, and for the last 6 years have reached the quarter-finals in the competition.

St Peter's has a very professional approach to rugby in which we concentrate on strength and conditioning training and skills development using our extensive resources. This includes coaching from England players such as Phil Vickery, Trevor Woodman and Adam Eustace.

In the past 5 years, St Peter's has supplied numerous players to the Gloucester Rugby Club Academy, from which Marcel Garvey and Adam Eustace have gone on to be part of a regular Gloucester first team.

Last season we continued our tradition of producing England School Boys at both U16 and U18 age groups.

Joining St Peter's 1st XV Rugby Team will not only provide you with an excellent academic education but the opportunity to compete at the highest level of School Boy rugby.

We train on a Monday evening (4-6pm) and play our games on Wednesday afternoons. All standards of players are welcome if you are prepared to work hard to better yourself.
