Making Poverty History
“When Lord did we see you hungry, naked or a stranger and not welcome
you…?
This academic year has seen a distinct move within the school towards becoming a ‘Fair-trade school’ .This has been led by the department through the KS3 – 5 work in response to student concerns to support the ‘Make poverty History’ campaign. We decided to promote this campaign to became a whole school focus culminating in every tutor group and team within the school writing messages of hope on strips of white cloth which were sewn together and blessed before being presented at the Edinburgh G8 Summit. The cloth continues to be part of the school celebrations.
